We're looking for a dental nurse-receptionist (full-time), to work alongside our existing team of nurses, dentists, therapists and our hygienist, as well as with our reception team.
We'll consider both experienced and trainee or apprentice nurses, looking to work or train in a supportive environment. Opportunities for further development include training in management tasks essential to the running of the practice, or dental anxiety management, to help nervous patients with their treatment.
We'll need you to be able to work with a range of people, with a range of skills. All of our nurses also work (on a rota basis) on reception managing patient queries and in our decontamination room, undertaking the cleaning, packaging, preparation and supply of instruments to each surgery.
We'll need you to interact and engage with our patients in a warm, friendly and professional manner in person or by phone - nurses can give patients vital information and reassurance they might not always accept or absorb from a dentist or another professional.
You'll also need to be methodical, tidy, observant and able to adapt when the plans for your patient, or your day, change. While we're continuing to adapt to the current challenges in healthcare, we still aim for the highest possible standards of safety and care for our patients and look for individuals who take pride in giving their best work towards this, as an individual and as part of a group.
We believe that improving our practice is an ongoing process, the responsibility of all and for everyone's benefit - you'll also take part, with all other staff members, in the ongoing compliance and improvement processes at the practice, including audit, safety, stock and equipment checks as well as those required by dentistry's governing bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission and NHS England.
Induction and training on our practice systems, current and new, will be provided. For your role with us, computer literacy is essential, familiarity with Software of Excellence or similar desirable.
